The restaurant Mas Roure in the vicinity of Llagostera specializes in Catalan cuisine in which traditional recipes have been adapted to the modern idea of high dining.
The restaurant is located in a typical Catalan rural estate (masia) built in the 17th century. Like many former farmers’ houses of its type, the masia has numerous spacious rooms, now turned into dining salons where the restaurant patrons can celebrate birthdays, weddings or other special occasions. When it’s warm out, the preferred spot for the guests is outdoors, on a large terrace.
Every October, restaurants of Llagostera organize the gastronomic campaign called Jornadas Gastronómicas del Bolet dedicated to local mushrooms. Mas Roure is a regular participant in the event.
