The Mediterranean Music and Art Festival PortalBlau in L’Escala offers an engaging programme of concerts, performances, and cultural experiences in various art forms throughout July and August. The performances take place against the stunning backdrop of the Mediterranean sea, as most of the festival occurs outdoors. PortalBlau showcases talent in music, dance, circus art, and acting, featuring collaborations with performers from all over the world.
PortalBlau is one of the most engaging summer festivals in L’Escala — in addition to performances, visitors may attend cinema screenings and cultural exhibitions, participate in workshops and roundtables. PortalBlau forms part of the cultural exchange project ARIANNA — the Euro Mediterranean Network of Culture and Heritage, supported by municipalities in Greece, Morocco, Italy, and Catalonia.
