A summer vacation with children is one of the most common reasons for a Costa Brava visit. The main attraction for this type of trip is most certainly the beach, but the Costa Brava coast offers other entertainment options aplenty—there is a lot more going on beyond sandcastle building, crab catching and seashell collecting!

There are over three dozen family-friendly points of interest at your service, from waterparks, go-cart tracks, horseback riding circuits to miniature trains, zoos and even wind tunnels in the Costa Brava. The programming of local festivals and town fiestas, most of which take place in summer, always includes entertainment for kids.

Many holidays and culturally significant events such as the March of Giants in L’Escala, the Festival of Magic in Torroella de Montgrí, the Circus of La Bisbal de l’Empordà and Terra de Trobadors in Castelló de Empúries have all been conceived as children’s events and are run with the littlest visitors in mind.
