A Neoclassical-style house for the indiano Josep Pi Carreras was built in Begur in 1860.
Mr. Carreras opened a bakery and a grocery store called La Industrial in Havana together with his brother Pedro. When he got rich, he returned to Catalonia from Cuba.
The back side of the house still has its original gallery with garden views.
