Festes de Primavera is the main festival of the year in Palafrugell, invented by the locals after the ban on Carnival parties in 1963. The fiesta takes place during the second weekend of Easter and goes on for three days starting on Friday. The festival culminates with the Sunday parade Carroussel Costa Brava that has all the elements of Carnival, but with more favourable weather conditions.
